Rendez-vous aux jardins: the Garden and its Creators - Walk - PARIS

The art of garden design.

For the 11th consecutive year, the national event Rendez-vous aux jardins, founded by the Ministry of Culture and Communication is to be an opportunity for the general public to enjoy the various public and private parks and gardens throughout France. A great many discoveries await, including a wealth of plant varieties but also a host of events and activities for children organised from May 31 and throughout the first weekend of June.

In 2013, This great garden event explores in particular the theme of "the garden and its creators". The programme thus raises the question of creativity in the garden and puts garden designers in spotlight. Gardeners, landscape architects, owners, garden art theorists, writers, painters and philosophers will all have a special place in this event. It will also be an opportunity to celebrate the work of André Le Nôtre (2013 marks the 400th anniversary of his birth). Works by the Bühler brothers, Achille Duchêne, Albert Kahn, Louis Benech and Gérard Garouste will also be celebrated.
